Here are the small-but-mighty things we've been working on this month:
Our new feature will put big smiles on the faces of suppliers and our Customer Support team! 🎉 You can now connect directly with your buyers—no need to go through CS first.
We still check every new Buyer account for legitimacy, correct delivery details, and to avoid double-ups in the system. But about half of supplier requests are for buyers we already have in Upstock, so now you can match them yourself in seconds.
This means no waiting for confirmation—you can start ordering right away! If a match is unclear or the customer isn’t yet in our system, we’ll still handle those as usual.
Twice a year we have a Hackathon, where the engineering team get to work on projects of their choosing, usually small-but-mighty features that never quite make it to the top of the priority list.
The team has two and a half days and it's not just an awesome event from a technical perspective, but it's also a great way to bring the team together, as we work remotely most of the time.
Some brilliant features that came out of the Hackathon are close to release, so keep an eye on the What's New button for exciting new things!
Two-step verification adds an extra layer of security to your account. In addition to your password, you use a second form of verification to log in, e.g. code from an app on your phone.
If your Upstock account is connected to Xero, two-step verification is now mandatory. This is a security requirement from Xero to help protect your financial data.
Initially applying just to new Upstock accounts with a Xero integration, we'll be rolling this out to everyone in the coming weeks.
Ever wonder how leading food & beverage brands handle hundreds of orders without breaking a sweat – while most brands are drowning in order admin?
Unleashed recently hosted a webinar in collaboration with Upstock, to show food & beverage operators how the two systems work together seamlessly.
Watch the recording to see exactly how top suppliers like Karma Drinks, Raglan Foods, Almighty Beverages, Viberi, Blue Frog Breakfast and hundreds of others operate when order collection and fulfilment work as one seamless workflow.
Spring has sprung! Check out the August and September upgrades we’ve rolled out for you:
Enjoy the new features!
You can now quickly filter your Orders list to see which orders have had their invoice sent via Upstock — or not yet sent. This includes e-invoices too.
Need to work with the data outside the app? Simply select the orders you want and export them as a “Summary” to open as a spreadsheet.
When something goes wrong with an order, you need to know right away. Upstock not only sends you an email alert, but also flags problem orders on your Dashboard – and in the Orders Grid under the Issues tab.
Here you’ll see every order needing attention, whether it’s a payment issue or a buyer-reported problem. Review them one by one, resolve the issues, and keep orders moving out the door!
When you land on the Orders list it defaults to the Recently ordered tab, but this isn't going to suit everyone.
You can save custom views of your Orders list – including pre-set tabs and specific filters – so you can jump straight to the information you need.
Learn how to set up bookmarks in your browser to quickly access different views, or even make one your home page.
A great tip for quickly moving through your Products and Orders lists is to use the left and right arrows at the top right of the page.

These will move you forward and back through the list, meaning you don't have to go back to the main menu to select the next one. 🎉
