Notifications are now targeted per-user AND company 👤+🏭

You've probably noticed we’ve been rolling out heaps of new notifications lately. This week, we’ve made an important change to how they’re managed — giving you more control over what you receive.

Previously, your notification settings applied to all the Upstock company accounts you’re part of. Now, you can customise them per company account. That means you decide what updates you want to receive from each business — no more one-size-fits-all.

To update your settings, just make sure you're in the right company account, then head to the Notifications page. You’ll find it by clicking your name in the bottom-left corner.

If you use our AI-assisted orders, you can now be notified when a new Inbox order has arrived.

We now have a notification called "New email order" which you can turn on to let you know when an order is ready to be checked over and processed.

To turn this on, go to the Notifications page, which you'll find in the bottom left menu - that's the one with your name on it :)

We've added a new notification option for those of you who send Xero invoices automatically when Upstock orders are shipped.

This notification is ON by default for all users, so if you don't want to receive the notifications, just go to the Notifications page and turn off notifications for "Invoice failed to send".

Winter has arrived in the southern hemisphere and we hope you are staying warm and cosy. Here are some of the smaller updates we made to Upstock this month:

  • There's now a badge on the What's new button to show you when a new article is live (personally my favourite update!) 🎉
  • Improvements in Reporting - you can now export more lines of data.
  • We've improved the in-app warning banners so they are more noticeable.

If you have questions about any of these, just chat to us and we'll get you sorted!

If you use standing orders, you may have occasionally missed when a customer updated one — but not anymore!

We’ve added a new notification to alert you whenever a customer edits a standing order. You'll see it in your Notification settings, found by clicking your name at the bottom of the menu.

Did you know? You can create feature categories for products ☕️🫘

Once your products are categorised, you can create feature categories - these are specific groupings of your products that you wish to highlight to your customers.

Feature categories are shown at the top of your Upstock listing, so when your customers are looking at your product list, those categories are a quick way for them to navigate - this is particularly helpful when you have a large product list.

Go to Products > Featured to get started.

Hello! Here are some of the small changes we released this month:

  • Woolworths - we now support price changes for orders! If you accept POC's with price changes, the order will be modified and the changes will be audited.
  • Woolworths and Foodstuffs e-invoices now have a document attached to the order, and a notification on the timeline to link to it.
  • Clickable customers in the price list - click a customer here and you'll be taken to their profile page.

If you have questions about any of these, just chat to us and we'll get you sorted!

Delivery report now available! 📋

We have released a new delivery report, to make your deliveries easier to manage.

The Delivery run report shows all the orders, arranged by customer and then by product. This report can be printed directly, downloaded as a PDF, or exported as a CSV, and is available from either the Orders Export report, or the Orders list.

All the relevant delivery information for each customer can be displayed, to make planning delivery easier. This report is particularly useful when used with Fulfilment groups.

Did you know? You can auto-categorise your products! 🤖

Using product categories is a great way to organise and promote your products, but manually categorising them can feel like a big task.

So, we have the Auto categorise button at the top of your products list to do that for you!

Clicking this button will:

  • Only auto-categorise products that aren't already categorised - it won't overwrite any existing categories.
  • Choose a relevant category for the uncategorised product/s - it's pretty smart!

You can see which products have recently been auto-categorised by clicking the "Updated" heading at the top of the table to sort by the recently-updated ones.

That way you can quickly scan through and make sure the auto-categorisation is 100% correct for your company's products. If not, it's easy to change.

You can now add out of stock products to orders! 📋

When creating or editing one-off or standing orders, you can now include out of stock products - handy if you know they’ll be back soon.

Things won't change for your customers - they won't be able to add out of stock products themselves; and the "out of stock" warning will still show.
